Wiki Handshakes

Handshakes

Valid/ready, skid buffers, and an AXI-Lite channel sketch.

Ready/valid (and AXI’s five channels) are control patterns, not a full protocol course. Use these cards next to the AXI Learn track.

Topics in this section

Valid / ready ready
Transfer on valid && ready; do not drop a beat while stalled.
Skid buffer ready
One extra slot so a registered-ready sink never drops a beat.
AXI-Lite sketch ready
Five-channel shape, Lite (no burst) slave handshake.
